| **ARVO+Genentech Keynote**<br>**Session** | Opening general session. Awards are presented, the<br>ARVO Foundation Board Chair provides an update, and keynote speaker gives a presentation. | Sponsored by the ARVO Foundation through a grant<br>from Genentech. | 75 minutes |
| **Cross-Sectional Group Sessions** | Focus on the opportunities and challenges in the field of the Group, with topics that are of interest to the entire ARVO membership. | Organized by ARVO’s 3 Cross-Sectional Groups: Genetics, Low Vision, and Multidisciplinary Ophthalmic Imaging. | 90 minutes |
| **Education Sessions (All-Access Saturday)** | These courses address educational needs that require in-depth review and discussion and include participant interaction with experts. | Proposals are submitted by ARVO members and are selected by the Professional Development and Education Committee (PDEC). | Full or half-day |
| **Minisymposia** | Cohesive programs that include an introduction with presentations that pull together the overall topic. | Proposed and selected by the AMPC. | 105 minutes |
| **Other Award Lectures** | Including the Champalimaud Award Lecture. Award winners give a presentation of their research. | Nominations for these awards are open to those who have made a significant breakthrough in vision research. | 60 minutes |
| **Paper Sessions** | Comprised of abstracts submitted by ARVO members and presented as 10-minute talks. | AMPC reviews submissions and organizes the abstracts into sessions by section or group. | 105 minutes |
| **Poster Sessions** | Comprised of abstracts submitted by ARVO members and organized by topic and Section/Group. | AMPC reviews submissions and organizes the abstracts into sessions by section or group. | 90 minutes |
